Samsung has added yet another tablet to its GALAXYseries; seriously, I've lost the count. The new entrant is a 7" slate called the GALAXY Tab 2 310. According to the company, the device will feature Android 4.0 (ICS) out of the box.
The Tab 2 310 is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core CPU and has 1 GB of RAM. The gadget features a 3 MP main and a front VGA camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, although it is not known at the moment if 3G is also present. Navigation is aided by an inbuilt GPS module. The tablet will come in 8, 16, and 32 GB variants. Additionally, the microSD card slot will allow you to expand the memory further. The device measures 7.6" (l) x 4.8" (w) x 0.4" (d), and weighs under 350 grammes.
The tablet will allow you to make voice calls using GSM, along with the company's cross-platform ChatON messenger. The Tab 2 310 is expected to hit the Asian markets as early as April. However, there's no official word on its pricing yet.
